Join us for a boat tour and oyster roast!
Launch from Sunset Cay Marina for a boat trip through the estuary behind Folly Beach. Depart for a boat trip through the estuary behind Folly Beach. We will stop along the way to learn about our seafood of the day (crabs, shrimp, or oysters), focusing on habitat, diet, life history and their role in both the estuarine ecosystem and local economy. Along the way be on the lookout for dolphins, eagles, storks, herons, blue crabs, and many more species in the low country rivers they call home.
Stop on a nearby barrier island where we will learn how to cook and eat fresh local seafood! The trip includes some other low country favorites to compliment your estuary to table experience.
Crabs: Learn how to catch blue crabs and have a crab boil on the beach
Oysters: Visit wild oyster beds followed by an oyster roast
Shimp & apps: Try your hand at throwing a cast net, our favorite way to catch shrimp. We will have peel and eat shrimp on the boat along with a few other snacks. This is the most relaxed and least hands on event, has more food options, and will last 2 hours ending at sunset.
This tour is perfect for family outings and other large groups! Please let us know of any seafood allergies.
*We can accommodate large private groups of up to 30. Please call for pricing and availability.
